Sarah + Andy – Naga-waukee Park Engagement

I met Sarah and Andy at Naga-waukee park in Hartland for their second engagement session. Check out their Greendale High School engagement session and the cute story of how they met. Naga-waukee park was filled with excited families and dozens of boats preparing for the evening’s fireworks show over Nagawicka Lake. Sarah and Andy didn’t let the audience ruin their moment or fun as they kissed, laughed and cuddled with hundreds of people looking on. It was great practice for their wedding day!

Everyone can learn a thing or two about love and surprise from Andy’s romantic proposal. According to Sarah, “Andy can never keep gifts for my birthday or Christmas a surprise because he is always so excited to give them to me.” Andy definitely shocked her with his big surprise, leaving her in tears and joy.

Andy had been insisting they try a new steak restaurant near their home. It was pretty common for them to try new things, so nothing was out of the ordinary. While they were at the restaurant Andy kept looking at his phone to “check the score of the baseball game.” Sarah recalls this should have been a dead give away since he doesn’t care about the Brewers enough to interrupt a nice dinner. The couple chatted over a tasty meal about their future and plans to go ring shopping the following day. It was a perfect evening.

As they were driving home Sarah noticed the living room lights were on. She immediately thought that someone had broken into their home (because a burglar would definitely turn the lights on!). As they pulled up she could see balloons in their living room and the tears started. She walked in to the room filled with pink balloons, flowers, champagne and a variety of cheesecake (her favorite dessert). Each balloon had a different picture of the couple from the past ten years of their relationship. There was also a pink box with a ribbon tied around it. Inside the box was a gold balloon that read “Pop me” with a safety pin attached. She popped the balloon to find the ring inside and turned around to see Andy down on one knee.

Sarah told me, “It was so romantic and amazing. I wish I could relive it over and over. It was the fairy tale I always dreamed of and a story I will NEVER forget!”
