I met Erin and Frank at Hoyt Park for their Wauwatosa engagement session. These two have known each other since kindergarten! They were on the same soccer team as children and officially started dating before their senior year. They were connected from the start by being goofy and making each other laugh. They wanted this engagement session to preserve the memories of how happy and goofy they are together, as well as their past and future.
Frank designed the perfect proposal. Erin and Frank were vacationing in Pennsylvania near Lake Erie over the fourth of July holiday with family. After dinner on the fourth, the high school sweethearts took a stroll on the beach at sunset. Franked stopped for a moment and Erin turned around to see why. That’s when she saw him down on one knee ready to start their future. Erin remembers a lot of crying, laughing and smiles in that unforgettable moment. The evening also had the perfect ending with fireworks!
We began their engagement session at Hoyt Park and ended at their favorite hangout spot, The Village in Wauwatosa. This combination was perfect for the look Erin and I discussed (white snow, pine trees, an urban setting and Christmas lights). I can’t believe we found Christmas lights in late January, so it was a perfect surprise for all! Erin and Frank kept me laughing the entire session with playful teasing, silly stories, snowball fights and raptor arms. We also discussed a few epic photo ideas for their wedding day, so I can’t wait for October!
