The wedding day was finally here and Jeremiah was driving us to Appleton for Becky and Rick’s wedding. We spent the drive remembering funny moments from Becky and Rick’s engagement session and stories from my days working with Becky.
We arrived at Medina Wedding Chapel for the ceremony. The chapel is stunning offering old-time charm, simplicity, beautiful light and a gorgeous steeple. Becky was checking her make-up details and nervously putting on her dress, while Rick was fixing his tie. The guests started to arrive and the ceremony was filled with laughter. As the two walked out of the church Rick reached up and rang the chapel’s bell in celebration.
The bridal party (comprised of mostly family) headed outside of portraits behind the chapel in the field. I love bridal parties that involve family members. Jeremiah was a team player, capturing candid moments through the day.
We headed to the reception at Waupaca Ale House, where the party was held in a beautiful white tent with pink uplighting. This short break allowed Jeremiah and I to discuss our favorite moments from the afternoon. He loved Rick’s big smile as Becky’s father walked her down the aisle. I loved laughing with the bridesmaids and goofing off with the groomsmen.
Becky and Rick sat down for dinner and made an announcement: clinking glasses were out, kissing was in. If any of the guests stood up and kissed, the newlyweds would kiss too. It was great to see couples young and old stand up and kiss romantically, silly and adorable. The two danced the night away.
“I absolutely looooovvveee the photos! You did such an amazing job! It was like reliving the day all over again. Thanks again!” – Becky
