I'm a Fine Art wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Brookfield, Wisconsin. I live with my amazing husband, Jeremiah, and our two cats, Alice and Kitana. I am lucky to share my passion for photography with Jeremiah, who makes an appearance as my second photographer quite often. We finally tied the knot in August 2012, after he became my high school sweetheart in 2003. We are definitely the old married couple, happy to enjoy a night in binging tv shows over a delicious meal.

I loved every moment of planning our wedding, even trying on a million dresses to find the perfect one. I understand the importance of capturing the memories and all the details (no matter how small) that you spend time perfecting. I am a sucker for Lifetime and Hallmark holiday movies, so I am well-prepared to capture those tear-jerking moments.

I draw inspiration from my background in design, architecture and art history. I am filled with wanderlust and the need to travel, meet new people and explore history. I would jump at the chance to move to Italy and spend my days eating delicious food (gelato, yum!), enjoying a siesta, walking everywhere, and constantly learning.

Life is an awfully big adventure ...

The Paper Elephant is a boutique photography studio dedicated to creating genuine and romantic, timeless imagery for the modern couple. I love creative weddings, raw emotion and heart-warming moments, beautiful light, elegant and natural styling, traveling and getting to know my awesome couples.

My approach is journalistic with a focus on photographing the moments of your day. I focus on beautiful lighting and give subtle directions to avoid overly posed images. I want to be an observer and only intrude when it's desired to achieve an artistic vision. I want your photographs to focus on your love and to be timeless and classic, no matter the details and attire. I photograph a limited number of weddings each year to ensure the highest quality and best service.

People often ask why I chose the name The Paper Elephant. Let's jump back to 1989 when Madonna's "Like a Prayer" was rocking the airwaves and I was running around in neon pink stirrup pants telling knock knock jokes. Read this post to learn more.
